Its finally over. Sad to say.
Not that i do not want it to end, but i tot it should have ended in a nicer way. The whole planning started late last year during december time. Me and zuowei just attended the meeting, cause i wanted to at least show my appreciation and support for ms siau. but then, eventually my enthusiasim died out, as usual, zuowei became busy with church etc, i got very packed with tuition and self-centered objectives. eventually pearlyn volunteered for 1 meeting and she ended up taking my role. I sincerely apologise to her. sorry gal. and thank you.
things got even worse as the time goes by and the event draws nearer. Scripts were intended for a multilingual collaboration between allt he LDDS and eventaully we're the only ones left. it just seems that i'm not fast enough to notice that and back out in time.
I started having tuitions up to my brim, now its at least 12 hours a week of tuition. my weekends are taken up totally. i can barely make it in time for the practices at all. i'm supposed to meet up and direct pearlyn's part and the finale. but well, i only covered less than 50% of my responsibility. sorry to all. thanks once again.
the perfomance came and went just like tat. i was late to meet the group on the performance day itself. the show is to start at 3pm. my tuition which was pushed forward and expected to end at 1pm eventually end at 145, and the tuition was even shortened to 1hour instead of the usual 2 hours. argh.. i got to school via cab again. i so seem to love taking cab to school nowadays. its without fail that i take cab to the practice venues everytime. anyway i reach at 215pm and had only 30 mins to help zuowei with his make up,bought a ticket and got myself into the audi to take notes for the performance. yup. last minute duties for the group. its the last i can do.
the matinee show was really a full dress rehearsal instead of the actual performance. have to say sorry to whomever came for the matinee show. but well i don't think i called anyone down from our side though, we didn't bother. the actual show at 7pm was much better.
you guys were great. Zuowei, Lily, Pearlyn, Reene. Superb. I always believe that the stage presence does get to you. See what i mean. You guys lit up on stage that night, though not in the afternoon. hee. anyway how can you concentrate when it seems that all the other groups seem to be sabotaging your part. leaving a guitar stand there, coming in with the sofa set so much earlier that Reeene had to chase us all from the site. lighting does not fade off and on as usual, volume too loud.... but nonetheless, the evening went on much more to my expectations.
Lily freaked many audiences out. she succeeded into making everyone think that she IS part of the audience whom just stumbled in late in midst the performance and starting chatting on the phone loudly and then eventually it dawned on everyone that she is part of the acting group. The improvised lines from Reene and zuowei served as very refreshing taglines. "dragonball cards" are actually worth collecting and keeping in the time capsule? "rongshu by the pond" "xi po ben xing" haha. i really really enjoyed myself, looking forward to the finale ever since the first few monologues started.
Thank you and sorry.
well, now that its over, i'm concentrate on my tuitions which will start to intensify now that the finals are arriving. I have 3 PSLE student, 1 Sec 1, 1 Sec 2, 1 Sec 4, and 3 J1 students. haha. shocked by the numbers? but not to worry cause some are actually grouped together. so its not really that bad. after october i'll be able to enjoy myself to the maximum. but before that its hell for me. i'm already losing my voice.
